ABOUT EMILY

Launched in 2005 Emily Bedford Jewellery specialises in the design and manufacture of hand made contemporary jewellery. Predominantly a self-taught jeweller, Emily is interested in the process of jewellery being individually formed and shaped, rather then cast, so as to maintain the sense of artistry within each piece.

All the collections display a natural fluidity and express Emily's imagination with much attention given to detailing through use of colour. The emphasis is on conveying an organic quality, the aim being to create beautiful pieces that carry the signature of the maker.

Emily Bedford Jewellery has produced 6 collections to date, all of which use a variety of materials including metallic thread, miniature paintings, resin, gold leaf, fine silver and 22 ct gold.

Customers range from the young fashion conscious woman who is prepared to be courageous within the bounds of fashionable jewellery, to the more mature woman looking for items that will continue to be wearable despite changes in fashion.

While Emily's jewellery is at home with current trends she has always been interested in one-off artefacts and curiosities and her designs evokes a romantic notion of times gone by.
